We all love sausageandmash

...in fact, I had some yesterday for dinner. Anyway, You all may well know that I started a project, a new website called Second Shot, a couple of months ago. After a lot of stopping and starting and general faffing about, I've finally got it the way I think is best for a long running website.

I won't bore you with the whats and whys - that can be found at Second Shot - all you have to do is investigate the site and grab the RSS that's there. As with everything I do, I like to get some feedback from readers/viewers (good or bad) as it can only make things a little better.

And as for this place, sausageandmash, it's unlikely to get updated. It's been fun and a great place to vent out, and I was especially pleased with actually getting this blogspot name. So I'll be keeping it for as long as possible, but ultimately it's now redundant. The same goes with the Round England, Round Ireland and Round London blogspots, but again I'll keep those names because, well, because I can. I'll probably use them when I get round to doing some more travelling (they are the best and easiest way to document things).

Right, I'll see you at Second Shot.

Second Shot's (rather limp) launch - Hazzah!!

Well, it's been about a month since my last post telling you lot about my new project. And now, finally, I've decided to launch Second Shot and get it out there for the masses to see.

However, you'll find that it's quite, quite empty and needs some serious bulking, but at least you have an idea of what to expect. I just wanted to get it known and for people to download the RSS feed so that they can abreast of the developments.

Please refrain from laughing at it for the time being.

Spread the word; taking a Second Shot has never been so good.

Everyone needs a SecondShot

Nothing exciting other than to say I'm building up a new website, SecondShot, and for which I've been learning Flash to make some fancy user interfaces. Surprisingly, it's pretty easy to get a basic layout and Flash swf file embedded into HTML, ready for internet users to have a play.

And so I'm currently stuck on designing a nice logo as well as the rest of my content. I've ideas but they have yet to be put down on (electronic) paper. Keep an eye out, it could be a good one.

Getting nowhere fast

Been neglecting the blogger for some time now due to not having anything vaguely interesting to write about. Plus, I've sort of stopped with the drawing at the moment although I've still one spare. Besides sitting on my arse and trying to find a job, I've mainly been doing not much else.

Well, actually, I went to a Graduate Assessment Day the Friday just gone, and I'm supposed to be hearing from them tomorrow to tell me that I didn't get the job. For some reason, although I'd like to think I did pretty well, I don't think I've got it - just stepping into the foyer and seeing the other 'contestant' was enough for me to realise that out of the six there, I could probably best at 3rd or 4th. Aye, aren't I self-confident, eh? Anyway, we'll see but I'm pretty sure it'll be a no-no.

EuroMillions, then - what's it at now? Something like £150 by the time it comes round to Friday, as it was £125 last week I think. I've been meaning to buy a few tickets for the past couple of weeks, so third time lucky and I might just scoop myself a little bit of change. This the Chinese 'Year of the Dog' (Happy New Year, by the way) and it's supposed to be my lucky year, so we'll see about that too (assessment day was on Friday, two days prior to the new year, so that could be the unlucky feeling for the above).

And I think I'll have this journal I've been knocking around finally licked. It's been a long time coming and mainly due to me being a lazy bugger - and then I'll still have to edit it at some stage when it gets rejected. Ah, all the fun of being a postgraduate without that sinking feeling.

How highly unexciting.
